This ancient practice combines Yoga, Acupressure, and energy work to offer the recipient rare depths of release and renewal. Thai massage releases and stretches sire muscles, ease tension and improves flexibility. This practice is sometimes described as assisted Yoga. The massage takes place on a mat on the floor, with the giver moving the fully dressed recipient through a series of Yoga-type stretches while working with acupressure and meridian points to simultaneously energize and calm the body. Rates: Alicia Sweeney has been teaching yoga in the Annapolis area since 2001. Alicia offers Thai Yoga Massage, which is a combination of Yoga, Ayurveda, and energy work ~ sometimes described as assisted Yoga. She teaches private and group classes as well as retreats and workshops. Alicia received her Yoga certification through the Silver Lotus Training Institute and is certified instructor at the 500 hour level. She completed her training in Thai Yoga Massage at the Thai Institute of Healing Arts and continues to further her knowledge and training in this ancient practice.
